LAKUACHIMOTO presents a 5th collection entitled ‘Les Nocturnes’, genderless, modern and irreverent.
Under the moonlight and the immense blanket of stars, ´Les Nocturnes’ dresses the great celebrations, the sumptuous balls and the opulent dinners. Tender, classic and in search of even greater fluidity, this next collection is an introspection on life, love, religion, death and infinity. To celebrate this pivotal moment in Lakuachimoto’s short history, models, performing artists, choir and public figures will come together on stage to dazzle you.
Founded in 2019 while Vincent La Kuach was studying fashion design at Lasalle College, Lakuachimoto is edgy, genderless and provocative. With its irreverent creations, the ready-to-wear brand combines everyday life and fantasy.
Representing diversity and the LGBTQIA2S+ community through the choice of models and collaborators, each fashion show and photoshoot is a clear expression of a desire to inspire people to express themselves as they are, without borders or rules.
Lakuachimoto is made in Montreal and is sewn to order with materials purchased locally, thus limiting the ecological footprint. In each collection, part of the materials used are upcycled or made from recycled fibers.
The multifaceted brand designed the costumes for the piece “Luna – Du soleil à la lune”, presented by Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, and MWON’D, the latest dance creation by Rhodnie Désir, both presented in 2022. Lakuachimoto had the honor of dressing, among others, best-selling author Kim Thuy, legendary singer Luce Dufault, Canada’s DragRace Season 2 Miss Congeniality Suki Doll, and Canada’s DragRace Season 3 winner Gisèle Lullaby.
