When will MAD Festival take place?

This year the MAD Festival will take place from August 22th to 25th at the place des Festivals in the Quartier des spectacles in Montreal.

What are the opening hours of the festival?

The Festival site opens at 2pm on Thursday and at 12pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Until 4pm, you can enjoy the family zone. Bars and programming start at 4pm.

The site and its pop-ups close at 11pm every evening.

What are the opening hours of the pop-ups?

From 2 p.m. on Thursday and 12 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Where will the festival take place?

On the main square of the Quartier des spectacles (place des Festivals) next to the Complexe Desjardins.

How to get there?

The Place Des Arts station is the closest station to Place des Festivals, Quartier Des Spectacles in Montreal. We don’t suggest using your car.

Is the festival free?

YES, the festival is totally FREE, and everyone is welcome!

Can I bring food and drinks on site?

You can bring your own snacks, and of course, your reusable water bottle!

However, it is forbidden to bring alcoholic beverages on site.

We suggest you treat yourself by discovering our local foodtrucks and one of our five bars, which also includes a range of local drinks (ciders, beers, cocktails and mocktails).

Are you hiring new employees or volunteers for the festival?

If you would like to take part in the festival as a volunteer, please visit our Career section on this website.

Is the festival accessible to people with reduced mobility?

YES, all areas of the festival are accessible for people with reduced mobility, except for the M.A.D. terrace (VIP section).

Can I bring my dog?

According to the Quartiers des spectacles regulations, dogs are not allowed on the site. 🙁

What happens if it rains?

We will adapt according to the weather and may cancel or move the shows accordingly. Any changes will be communicated on our social medias.

Where to stay near the festival?

The Delta Hotel is located near the festival site. You can book your stay on their website.

What about image rights?

The festival reserves the right to use all photos or videos taken on site for our content.
