FDG presents “Moulage”, a project that combines a fashion show and live clothing design. Molding is a couture technique that consists of working a style in volume directly on a mannequin by sculpting the fabric on it. During the presentation, we will mold live on stage on the mannequin the signature piece of our SS23 collection and we will create a complete decor around it.

At the age of 10, Frédérique, founder and designer of FDG, touched sewing for the first time. She has been passionate about it ever since. Spending night and day sewing, undoing clothes, understanding their complexity, draping, and playing with textiles, she has never once questioned her future. She has always known her destiny: to develop a brand in her image by democratizing craftsmanship, Quebec expertise and sustainable fashion.

This is why Frédérique launched FDG in 2019. A clothing brand for women aged 18 to 35 years old, handmade in Montreal. Not participating in the “Fast Fashion” model, FDG is developing a business model based on orders to avoid clothing waste; each piece created is sold. This business model also allows us to offer a custom-made service on all our pieces at no additional cost.

FDG’s mission is to innovate in fashion design while motivating its clients to commit to ethical behavior. All of our pieces radiate love and are designed, developed and assembled using local expertise. Our priority is to offer a variety of unique styles with an impeccable fit. We design our clothes for the woman who likes to dress with the subtle touch that sets her apart.
