RELUXE: give meaning to your style

Founded in 2016 by Isabelle Éthier, Ody Giroux and Chantal Durivage, the RELUXE initiative aims to support the cause of the organization Le Chaînon, which is to help women in difficulty in Quebec. This year, the project is back with a pop-up store, which will be open from April 28 to April 30.

RELUXE is an annual event that combines philanthropy and shopping for luxury clothing and accessories in addition to bringing together diverse communities. Clothing donations signed by major brands such as Chanel, Prada, Gucci or even Denis Gagnon, Ève Gravel and Michel Desjardins are sold at low prices in order to make luxury accessible, while supporting a good cause.

In fact, all profits are donated to Le Chaînon in order to accommodate, listen to, help and feed women in need. In 2 years, more than $108,000 has been raised, thanks to donations and the sales. RELUXE is giving back a chance to get by to women in social difficulty, giving back happiness and an opportunity to reuse and support the circular economy *.

If you too would like to make a difference in the lives of thousands of Quebec women, it is possible, and in several ways!

First of all, we invite you to do a spring cleaning a little earlier this year. If you have clothes and accessories from luxury brands that you no longer wear, tell yourself that they could be used by others or even considerably improve a woman’s life. Did you know that a pair of boots sold for $140 can provide up to 300 meals for women in need? Until April, it is possible to drop off your donations at the MAD Collectif office at 815 rue Ontario E suite 100, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Another way to help RELUXE’s mission is to attend the exclusive pop-up opening party, held on April 27, 2023 at WIP. This fundraising event will allow you to take advantage of an exclusive shopping spree, during which you will be able to get your hands on the most beautiful luxury pieces. Sponsors of the RELUXE project from the start, Geneviève Borne and Lolitta Dandoy will also be at the event. The ticket is on sale for $100 and includes access to the event, cocktails and appetizers, performances and above all, good vibes ! The profits raised during the evening as well as through the sales of the pop-up will be donated directly to the organization Le Chaînon.

The pop-up store will be open to the public from April 28 to 30, 2023, we can’t wait to see you there!

* The circular economy is about preserving and recovering as much value as possible from resources by using, repairing, reconditioning, remanufacturing, converting or recycling products and materials.
