The Fashion Design program is an educational program that introduces high school students to the world and techniques of fashion. Through this project, students go through different stages allowing them to acquire notions in fashion illustration, cutting, tailoring, pattern, molding and graphic design, in order to develop in group a collection of three or five outfits, accompanied by a collection Book. The project develops in students the creative spirit, the sense of organization, empowerment, communication and allows them to realize their ideas. Throughout the year, they discover passions, feed their imagination, and strengthen their self-confidence. The end of the project is crowned by a fashion show in front of an audience.
Four of the eight collections produced during the 22-23 school year will be presented. They were all 100% conceptualized and made by high school students, accompanied by their coordinator, a graduate in fashion design. Some collections were made using the upcycling technique and others completely from scratch. This year’s theme was: Rethinking energy.
